Free Guided excursions, Activities and Events

To ensure a comprehensive learning experience, a range of free guided excursions, after-class activities, cinema sessions and social events are included as part of the total immersion program. These after-class activities give participants education outside the classroom, expanding their vocabulary and knowledge of Italy rich and varied culture, tradition, history, art and society. A calendar of scheduled events is provided at the start of the program and varies according to the student intake. Admission and transportation are included at no additional cost. The program of scheduled activities varies.

These excursions and activities are held on weekday afternoons or weekends and may include the following:


Visits: Guided visits to a range of historical sites (Sforza Castle), museums (Italian design museum, la Scala museum) and art exhibitions (Leonardo da Vinci's 'Last Supper' and Brera gallery)
Seminars: Afternoon lectures focusing on cultural topics such as Italian customs and Italian cuisine
Films: Classics and latest films by renown directors including Nuovo Cinema Paradiso (Tornatore), La Vita e´Bella (Benigni), Il Postino (Troisi), and Mediterraneo (Salvatores)
Theatre Evenings: Visit to the opera at the Arena of Verona, concerts, ballets, and musical events
Other: Sports, discos, live concerts and dinners are organized


Optional weekend tours to other cities in Italy such as Venice, Santa Margherita, Cinque Terre, Genoa, Bergamo, Lake Garda and Lake Como requiring overnight accommodation are available at additional cost.
